The KB model is distinct for its Manual Adjust Drip-Stop brew basket, giving the user much more control over brew strength and speed. The manual-adjust stop on the KB’s brew basket allows you to control the brewing speed or stop it entirely as it flows into the carafe, making it a great option for those who like to be more hands-on with their coffee brewing process and don’t consistently brew a full carafe every day.
This coffeemaker will brew a full 10-cup (40 oz.) pot precisely within the SCA's stringent Golden Cup quality guidelines of 195°-205°F in only 5-6 minutes. There is also a convenient selector switch that allows you to choose between brewing a half or full carafe. The brewing speed and hotplate temperature adjust according to your choice, brewing any amount to the golden cup standard. Of course, the manual adjust filter basket gives you the option for total control over bloom time and brew time to ensure you get the fullest extraction, even when brewing just a few cups.
