The built-in gyro sensor rotates the backlit display in four directions, making it easy-to-read in any position. This model stands out for its high waterproof rating. Tests show that it is protected against being immersed in over three feet of water for up to 30 minutes. This is more than enough protection against dropping the thermometer into a full sink. The Waterproof Folding Thermocouple Thermometer features a 4.33-inch 304 stainless-steel stem that automatically turns the thermometer on and off. The 1.5 mm thin tip allows for easy insertion into thin cuts of delicate fish or meats as well as general purpose cooking. NSF certified.
