Each Premier Series knife is a fully forged marvel, with Shun's legendary VG-MAX carbon steel at it's core. Blades are wrapped in 34 micro-layers of supporting stainless steel, a beautiful and drag-reducing tsuchime finish is applied and 17 dual-bevel edges are shaped and polished by hand. Shun Premier Cutlery also features full tangs, stainless steel bolster and end caps for exceptional balance, and elegant D-shaped walnut Pakkawood handles. The matching Combination Honing Steel features two unique surfaces for day-to-day honing and a micro-ribbed side for weekly honing.
